The Non-Executive Director’s (NED) role is gaining increasing prominence and influence in the board room across all industries, including Financial Services.

The NED role is critical to ensure independent thinking: it is there to challenge and question.

 

Not surprisingly, many boards have a NED appointed explicitly to look at conduct and culture.

 

Increasingly, financial institutions are appointing the best minds from other industries onto their boards to bring a fresh perspective and challenge to board discussions.

​

The Academy’s course for NEDs is delivered on a one-to-one basis and is intensive and focused, highlighting the issues in conduct to equip them to hit the ground running in their role.

​

This course is currently under development using input from many NEDs, both retired and currently in place.
